Antique Cafe serves up compassion, hope, and honor in their coffee shop located in Bangkok, Thailand. This is a for-profit social business that provides on the job training to prepare vulnerable individuals for their next job in the food and beverage industry. They exist to support and empower their local community. Their heart is for developing and collaborating with others. They do this primarily as a rental space where groups can meet for workshops, small events, community gatherings, and special interest clubs.
On top of a great space, guests can try fresh pastries baked on site and the coffee bar, with local Thai beans. The space also features student artwork and sells fair trade handicrafts. While I was there I saw locally made tea shampoo, a bunch of beautiful jewelry and art hanging on the walls for sale. They also offer catering for off site events. (Our team had some of the cupcakes for dessert – and they did not disappoint!)
Our team spent an evening at Antique Cafe celebrating one of our leaders, who is heading out on her next adventure. The space is amazing, the staff is friendly and fun, and the couches are very comfortable.
Next time you are in Bangkok, Thailand stop by Antique Cafe for a cup of coffee, a cupcake, and support an awesome organization changing the lives of those in Thailand.
